FreeType 2.0.9 does not recognize the MING_UNI.TTF (a HKSCS-2001 referenc font) as a TrueType font file.
According to my showttf
The file checksum is incorrect
The table checksums are incorrect for
glyf
hmtx
loca
maxp
(I don't know if those cause problems for freetype)
