The Adobe Helvetica-Oblique I have here (which came with ATM) just has a
slanting FontMatrix; it does contain all the CharStrings, so it's a
perfectly normal T1 font. I also thought sythetic fonts weren't valid Type
1 font, as it's a PS trick that copies an existing font, renames it and
replaces the FontMatrix (or so I thought...). The word "sythetic" doesn't
appear in my copy of the T1 spec. Do you have a reference?
