Nobody know what "system volume" is.

 

If the fluidsynth console application is in use, try this: >gain 1.5

As it seems you are working on linux and assuming fluidsynth making use of alsa driver, it worth to check the volume of the audio output used by the driver (via alsa mixer): amixer

Is there any way to increase the volume of fluidsynth? I have the system volume all the way up but I still notice that all midi files being played are quite a bit lower volume than playing a wav file with aplay. Is there any easy way to increase the volume of the synth?
