Hi allI finally got the pst-optic package working properly. It makes all lens diagrams trivial and the examples file has almost all the pictures we need for the book. I did have to sacrifice the pst-lens package which was only used to draw the magnifying glass in the "interesting fact" environment.
I kept the environment looking different - all I did was remove the lens. So its indented, has a different font and I'll figure out how to have a picture with it soon but I am going to focus on the book content
for now.Optics is a complete mess at the moment but now that the diagrams are working I can write it quite quickly (if there is anything I should be able to write its geometrical optics).
I have updated the pdf file on the website. Basically we finish Optics and Heat and Properties of Matter and then its just editing :)
