agreed.. until then, do what you want; try to be consistent with what is
there. when it comes nearer to print time, then maybe a few of us can
have an intense session hacking at the internals of the LaTeX and the
folder/file structure.

till then, all we care about it material, and after that... we will get
the text reading consistently. then we will worry about getting the book
looking consistent in the figures.
