I checked the files you sent I a noticed a few problems.

You should refer to the POV-Ray documentation. The colors must be defined
inside objects descriptions, this way:
cylinder {
<0.5,0,0.5>, <0.5,1.4,0.5>, 0.4
pigment { color rgb <1,0,0> }
}
