[emacs-wiki-discuss] a versioned remember-el?

I'm packaging remember-el for the Fink project
(http://www.finkproject.org) and would like to know whether there are
any "versioned" remember-el's out there.  I'm currently using debian's
remember-el version 1.6, but I'm sure a lot has been done on remember
since then.  Should I regard 1.6 as the most recent "versioned"
remember?  If so, what are the prospects of coming up with a new
version that incorporates all the development since 1.6 was submitted
to debian?
