pure space overflow warning

emacs built from cvs last night (built using `make bootstrap`), when I
do a (display-splash-screen) I get as the first line of that screen

Warning Warning  Pure space overflow  Warning Warning

... and then the splash screen continues as normal

This is when invoked with -q or from there when running the command from the 
*scratch* buffer

In GNU Emacs 22.0.50.23 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.6.4)
