I can reproduce it too, with "emacs -q" on:
GNU Emacs 22.0.50.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.6.10) of
2005-11-18 on rocksteady
After it has failed for the first time (when clicking the link), it
fails directly upon doing C-h v warning-type-format RET
