Hi,
I could not reproduce the problem with the "longLineSample.txt"
example on Mac OS X 10.3.9, the latest CVS, with either X11 or Carbon.
YAMAMOTO Mitsuharu
Ok, I need to proceed more carefully.
Let me join this file, if anybody wants to try again.
ll.txt
Description: Text document
The problem was :
---
Resize window so that the line
"resize window so that this line is the last one you see"
is the last one you see.
Type C-V.
The line
"resize window so that this line is the last one you see"
may not be visible any more, while it should be precisely on the
second line.
(This is because the point has gone too far.)
---
I try again everything by myself.
I remove my .emacs.
With Aquamacs 0.9.5
Emacs 22.0.50.1
http://aquamacs.org/
NO PROBLEM
(As opposed to what I reported earlier, trusting a third party.)
With Enhanced Carbon Emacs
Emacs 21.3.50.2
http://www.inf.unibz.it/~franconi/mac-emacs/
YES PROBLEM.
Now I stop using all the fancy interfaces and work in text mode in
Apple Terminal.
With /usr/bin/emacs
Emacs 21.2.1
(delivered with Mac OS X.3)
NO PROBLEM.
With emacs -q -no-site-file -nw
Emacs 21.3.50.2
(inside Enhanced Carbon Emacs)
YES PROBLEM.
With /Applications/Aquamacs Emacs/Contents/MacOS/bin/emacs -q
-no-site-file -nw
Emacs 22.0.50.1
(inside Aquamacs)
NO PROBLEM.
Conclusions :
- there is a problem with 21.3.50.2 ;
- it can be resolved by upgrading to 22.0.50.1.
This is enough for me. Sorry for the disturbance. Thanks.
