Unless it's something to do with undefined behaviour leaking from the
C level, I assume it's due to some sort of timing issue.
I might point out that selecting grep hits is quite confusing, even
accepting the new swapping of the behaviour of mouse-2 to mouse-1.
Part (only) of the line is mouse-sensitive, but RET or C-c C-c works
anywhere on it. Why isn't the whole line mouse-sensitive?
Also by the way, the `highlight' face seems badly chosen for use with
a black background, especially on an LCD display like I'm on at the
moment. (It stands out a lot more with a white background.) If
anything, I'd have thought it was better to swap the values for light
and dark background.
