M-Mouse1 doesn't work any more

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

Selecting some text in a non active windows with Meta+Mouse1 doesn't
work with a recent snapshot: the text is not copied in the X clipboard,
so can't be pasted. It used to work fine in 21.3 and older cvs snapshots
(I use this a lot).

In GNU Emacs 22.0.50.1 (i386-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.6.2)
 of 2005-03-07 on brouette, modified by Debian
