Kai-Mikael, maybe you should try compiling Emacs yourself from the CVS 
source. The build you are using, the binary I provided, is from 
late-2003. There are undoubtedly some bug fixes since then.

I can do this and provide a newer binary, I just don't know when I can 
get around to it.
