Can't reproduce the sh problem with more-or-less current org:
Org-mode version 7.9.2 (release_7.9.2-911-g460c4d @
/home/nick/elisp/org-mode/lisp/)
How are you installing org? built-in, elpa, tarball, git? What version are you
running?
