Hi Vincent,

rather than fixing the documentation, I have modified orgmode to automatically remove lines that contatin only formatting cookies.

Thanks for triggering this.

Thanks Giovanni,

The documentation is however incomplete, the info node "(org) Column
groups" does not says that the `/' in the first field has the effect of
excluding the row from export. Actually when you read this info node,
what you (or better said I) understand is that the `/' indicates that
this special row is used to specify column grouping.

Therefore I propose the attached patch to documentation.

  Vincent.

PS-1: Sorry if sometimes I disturbe this group with naive questions.
PS-2: This is a resend, it seems that the previous message was not
dispatched due to this that I made a too big attachement (tarzipped
complete manual old and new version in addition to patch).

@samp{<l>} in a similar fashion. You may also combine alignment and field
 width like this: @samp{<l10>}.

+ To exclude the special row containing the column width and/or alignment from + being exported, insert a dummy first column with @samp{/} in the field that + is on the special row, like this (considering the same example as previously):

 @section Column groups
 @cindex grouping columns in tables

When exported to HTML there is one table row with `<30>' in it. Is there anyway to make this row not exported as a row (but possibly exploited in
other ways) ?

In the manual, in the "table" section, subsection Column groups
it is written:

" In order to specify column groups, you can use a special row where the first field contains only `/'. The further fields can either contain "

Before posting, please, read, or, at least, search, skim the manual
to find a possible solution.
