Well, as incredibly as it sounds, Eli is (presumably) just one person,
while the number of people who are not Eli is a whole lot bigger than
1.

So having Eli do all the markup for everybody who is not Eli doesn't
really scale well.  It would be better if everybody could do the markup
themselves.

(This is not a vote for changing from Texinfo, either, if anybody is
counting.)
