I recommend to you an essay by Richard Stallman, entitled "Why
Software Should Not have Owners." You can find it in Richard's book
/Free Software Free Society/ from the GNU Press, and it's probably
available somewhere under http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/. As far as
this point goes, you only need to read the title and the first two or
three sentences.
