    Why will they confuse
    tromey.com/elpa and elpa.gnu.org ?

If people see those two names in one message, I think they will
recognize they are different.  But when people see "elpa.gnu.org" in
one message, and "ELPA" in a second message, they are likely to guess
that these are the same thing.
