of Emacs from CVS are looked like Carbon Emacs.   For both Emacses the
apple-monaco is used


So, if you mean the missing antialiasing - it should be there and look pretty much like on Carbon by default (it works for me and others).

Are you running these Emacsen with -Q?

Also, the current CVS version reads some rather hidden settings including IIRC the variable `ns-antialias-text', which would be relevant in this context.
