Since this discussion still seems to be ongoing, do I take it to mean that
there is some flexibility on this issue?
There is a little: if bzr is not working fast enough, we will ask the
maintainers to improve it, and wait for them to do so before we adopt
it. But we are not going to switch to some other version control system.
