My apologies.  I do know who you (Manoj) are, and was addressing you
as a representative of the designers of the DEP.  I'm saying that to
serve this particular set of users, the designers omitted an important
requirement.

Well, since nobody has actually been able to describe a problem, how
would you know?  I bet you *have* experienced them, and fixed them.
David and I are just more devious at finding ways to go wrong!

Anyway, after I clean up some other stuff and get moved back to Japan,
I have an XEmacs/distro integration project I'll be working on.  That
will be a good time for me to revisit this thread.
