M-x gdb-many-windows toggles the multiple window configuration, so just
doing it again will turn it off (if that's what you mean).

If you look at http://sourceware.org/cgi-bin/gnatsweb.pl and view problem
report #2412, you can see from the audit trail that it has indeed been fixed in
CVS.  Note Gdb 6.8 will have this fix and should be available shortly, if you
don't want to build from source.
