What would be the criteria for still keeping support?
One could be that 22.1 should be still functional on the platform.
If one user has a machine in the basement that gets turned on once a
year, would that qualify?

Here a start for a list of things for which we could drop support. It
is just a start...


X10  (window-system-version mentions it, is it still supported?)
MSDOS
Windows 16 (not sure if this is independent, or it is used in
conjunction with MSDOS).
Mac OS all versions before MACOSX (only MAC_OS8 seems to have a special define)

VMS ?? (at least find out if this port is functional, I seem to
       remember posts on the mailing list from people saying that
       they'd try it, but never any confirmation...)
