I didn't put it there because I couldn't reproduce it on Emacs 22.

To me this seems a consequence of the known restriction that Emacs
frames can't have arbitrary pixel size.  Apparently the OP is the
only Emacs user on KDE.

I think the following two issues should be resolved too:

"22.1.1; Frame title no more updated after calling `set-frame-configuration'"

first raised 2007-08-30 on emacs-devel, and

"dired-warning face not colored on 8-color ttys"

first raised 2007-08-30 on bug-gnu-emacs.  Please have a look.


Finally, the problem reported by davidk

"Re: display-buffer change"

as from 2007-08-27 on bug-gnu-emacs hasn't been resolved satisfactorily
either.
