Hi,
since the recent updates in lisp/net/tramp.el (I suspect those from Aug 24),
I get weird behaviour for local file editing using the `su'-method.
Scenario:
I edit and write out a file via tramp on localhost via `su'. When I again try
to change the buffer that has currently been written out to disk, emacs warns
me that the file has been changed on disk (and asks if I want to ignore, abort
or revert the file). The only change that was made to the file, of course, was
the save-buffer-to-disk change, the file was not modified outside the buffer.
I have this behaviour on two machines with Emacs installations. It is
always reproducable.
Hannes
PS: Remote editing still works as it should. It notes when the file really has
been changed from outside the Emacs buffer.
