I dunno, I only use windows occasionally, but I installed it, and
programs written for just GNU/linux compiled without issues and ran.
My girlfriend (windows user, not a GNU hacker) installed it, found the
extra libraries she needed, and was configuring and compiling in
minutes.
That seems pretty useful.
