.cmd files has existed as far back as in Windows NT4, maybe even
Windows NT 3.X, so if this extension is not included in generic-x yet,
I think it should be included now.

Also, there are some differences in how .bat and .cmd files are
handles but I do not remember what it was right now.

Maybe it is worth noting that there is a cmd-mode.el available at EmacsWiki.
