I, for one, would prefer to defer the grep-tree changes until after
the release.  We can always extend grep-tree and, if it proves to be
much better, make grep-find obsolete --- *later*.  That's the whole
point of a release process (notwithstanding the fact that it hasn't
exactly been followed very well).
