Appending might then be better?According to that article, there are a few more directories where openp should look for executables: the Windows directory and the Windows/System32 (Windows/system on Windows 9X) directory. Perhaps w32.c:init_environment should prepend these two directories to the value of PATH it sets up. Then they will be automatically searched.
