    If we do split Erase Customization in two: a) "Get All" > "Standard" plus
    
    "Save All", then there is the question of how "Save All" should act wrt
    values in the buffer that happen to be the same as the standard values.
    
    Two possibilities:
    
    1. Save is smart wrt `standard', recognizes equality between standard
    lues
    and values to be "saved", and reworks the user's custom file much as Erase
    Customization does today.

That is definitely the right way to do it.

If the "Get standard value" command puts the variable into a
state almost the same as never having been set, saving it
should get the right results.  This state would be almost the
same as the usual "set" state, except that it would record
a need to save the variable.
