Since neither gfontsel nor xfontsel can FORCE the user to select a
unique font, I have decided to solve this externally, by popping up
a menu of the matching fonts when the font returned is not unique and
we need a single match.
When does Emacs need a single match? If gfontsel specifies certain
components of the font name, and Emacs sets only the corresponding
face attributes, is this inadequate in some way?
