Thanks!  It is definitively better now :)  Just still slow when
highlighting new [big] expressions.  But it is acceptable ;-)

I think it would be nice if the xref stuff could be made optional.
It is always possible to just move the cursor on a function/variable
name then type 'C-h f/v' to get help and open corresponding source.
