the *Messages* buffer now has this:

Waiting for process to die...done

The google chrome (the default browser) does not display anyting.

In GNU Emacs 24.3.50.3 (x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 3.6.4)
 of 2013-08-20 on t520sds

Thanks, I reproduced the bug on Ubuntu 13.04 x86-64
and installed a fix as trunk bzr 113969.
