Try for example C-h f x-popup-menu. For me it gives a backtrace

")

  byte-code("\304\305 \306Q! \307\310!\210\311\312!\211  \235\203


I reported another problem with x-popup-menu before, related to
nXhtml, but got no answer at that time.

This is with

GNU Emacs 24.0.50.1 (i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600) of 2010-07-10 (unpatched)

Fixed in revno 100773.
