I'm not sure it is wise to use volumes that big, usualy swift stacks allow for 5Gb files per default ... and I think big signatures should be split by duplicity itself... 

After a quick lookup the swifclient python library does not support large file objects, everything has to be coded by hand.
the other solution is to switch to a higher level library.

In any case, I don't realy have the need right now, so I'll let someone else delve in that ...
