I don't think this is very likely.  If someone kidnaps your schnauzer
and makes you divulge your keys, they will probably make you hand over
the actual gpg key which will decrypt the whole backup.  Anyhow, you
need to decrypt several gpg files (deltas etc) to get one user file
back.

A better thing in this direction is probably to use a different gpg
key per backup archive, and to keep things partitioned into work
(maybe work per customer/employer), and then different security levels
like finance, mail, family photos, whatever.
