My final reply to this, the man document does state:
Now suppose we accidentally delete /home/me and want to restore it the
way it was at the time of last backup:
duplicity scp://address@hidden/some_dir /home/me
That may need to be fixed? It is somewhat misleading. Perhaps:
Now suppose we accidentally delete /home/me and want to restore it the
way it was at the time of last backup:
duplicity restore --file-to-restore home/me scp://address@hidden/
some_dir /home/me (assuming that the / is the root of the backup).
Or am I still smoking some sort of recreational substance?
