It uses its own, currently version 2.3.  If you want to use the system
version, just remove ...site-packages/duplicity/pexpect.py.  Not sure
why you would want to do that, but you could.  The goal was to make new
installs easier and to provide a more consistent environment so solving
user's problems would be easier.
