Re: [Duplicity-talk] duplicity fails to do incremental backups on Ubuntu

The big problem seems to be that duplicity is not really supported -
there are many open issues and feature requests (i.e. a WebDav backend)
and some time ago I had to throw 30 days of backup away because it told
me that it did not find any valid signatures... and sometimes there is
the "broken pipe" error.

Guess what - no response from any developer and the tool was last
released more than a year ago (February 2, 2006). There doesn't seem to
be any development activity.

Bad to say there are no alternatives out there - a tool that encrypts
backups, does not waste bandwidth, creates small backup files, does
incremental backups.... and ideally works with Windows and Linux :)

Just my 2 cents...

Ah, I'm having the same problem with ubuntu 6.10 fully patched.

I thought it was my fault since I never had it work. Ubuntu <-> RHEL
does the same thing, I haven't tried RHEL <-> RHEL.
