yep, it is! I'm really getting to like the GNUstep community. Thanks to
your help and fixes I now have a working GNUstep environment
(development tools and apps) using the 2.0 runtime and clang 8.0 under
Debian 9. :-)
Seems I'm finally able to start developing. ;-)
