I forgot to mentioned that I'm using ProjectCenter.

I forgot to mentioned also that that I have setup in PC Preferences the
Root Build Directory and in the corresponding directory there is the
CurrencyConverter.build directory with the executable CurrencyConverter
in the CurrencyConverter.app directory. So when I run this executable
from an xterm window, I get it running and behave as expected.
