It seems so. IMHO it should work with apple-apple-apple too. Otherwise tools 
like Shark
(see http://developer.apple.com/tools/sharkoptimize.html for screenshots.)
are not useable.
I would like to shark GSWeb, but -base(additions) does not build from SVN.
