Thanks ... I tried on my machine (GNU/Linux, Fedora Core 2), and sourcing
GNUstep.sh in bash, or sourcing GNUstep.csh in csh, produce exactly the
same results.

Anything special that might cause results to be different on your system ?

Can you send me some little more info, like what your GNUstep.conf is ?
Are you using a special operating system ?  Anything else that might help 
me figure out the problem ?

As a last check I'll have a look at installing the latest gnustep-base and
see if I can access my defaults correctly from both bash and csh. :-)
