-gui creates a new autorelease pool at the start of each runloop 
iteration and releases it after the iteration. This is not the same 
autorelease pool you create in main().

(-gui wraps lots of other things in autorelease pools as well, so if you 
initialization in e.g. delegate callbacks, you don't need your own 
pools. However, -gui can't touch an autorelease pool created in main() 
at all.)
