Connection actions

Sorry to be so full of questions.

Ok, I see how to ,and have successfully connect to outlets. But actions do 
not show up in the Connection menu.  My subclass has  an action, and I have 
instantiated it.  Clicking on the instantiated class, with the Inspector set 
to connections, I see the three grid window , with outlets, one the right, 
connections on the bottom. The one on the right is empty, and has no title 
(it doesn't say actions).
