Hm.. it doesn't work for me...
i'm using the debian packages, which use the arts backend.
i try to display it on my openbsd box.. other X programs work fine, but
gnustep programs don't want it :(

if i start a gnustep program, i only get white areas where there should
be the windows and the menus.

what's this XWindowBufferUseXShm ? it doesn't seem to exist in XFree86..
(i did a grep -ri XWindowBufferUseXShm through the XFree86 sources)
and i don't get any search results using one of the big searching
engines (google, etc)
