I have all of the faith in the world in GNUstep.  I wouldn't have stuck with it
for several years now, if I didn't.

In short: It would take a *miracle* of massive proportions. :)

This is not because of anything having to do with GNUstep, but it is more
related to the fact that people are so entrenched in their use of Windows.  
This has mostly to do with Greg's rule #1 and #4 which are:

1. 99% of the general public ( including some technical people ) are not
willing to learn anything new unless they absolutely must.
...
4. Given a set of technologies, the worst one of the group will almost always
prevail since it is understandable to the lowest common denominator of people
(see rule #1).
