If you don't use any GNUstep extensions, you could simply install gnustep-make on MacOSX and use that to make StepTalk. Otherwise you would also need gnustep-baseadd (configure and install gnustep-base package).

Another option is to get someone to make a PB project for StepTalk

Hi,

Can anybody help, please? Has anyone experience with StepTalk on OSX?

Any patches are welcome. I'll include them.

Thank you,

Stefan

Hello Stefan,

I would very much like to use StepTalk on Mac OS X, but I cannot seem to locate any instructions for how to build it there. If I do the obvious assigning of all the environment variables (GNUSTEP_MAKEFILES, MAKEFILEDIR, etc.) to /Developer/Makefiles/project and PLATFORM_OS to macos, make doesn't complain but it won't build anything either - it just exits after a moment of thought.

Any ideas on what else I might try? I'm used to building stuff in project builder or with straight makefiles; I don't know the ins and outs of the objc makefile complex.

I googled on 'steptalk mac' but didn't get anything useful.

Thanks for your help, and for creating a very cool scripting tool.

Regards,

---Chris
