run projectcenter

Hello,

I try to get the GNUstep environment running, for some weeks, so I will be
able to develop some

software using ProjectCenter, on a Linux based system. The GNUstep
environment runs, but I am not able to

run ProjectCenter. I compiled GNUstep straight from cvs sources.

I receive the messages below, when I try to start ProjectCenter. The same
happens with Gorm.

openapp ProjectCenter

2002-12-18 20:24:39.582 ProjectCenter[5544] NSApplication.m:191 Assertion
failed in initialize_gnustep_backend. Unable to find backend
libgnustep-xdps.bundle

/opt/GNUstep/Local/Applications/ProjectCenter.app/ix86/linux-gnu/gnu-gnu-gnu
/ProjectCenter: Uncaught exception NSInternalInconsistencyException, reason:
NSApplication.m:191 Assertion failed in initialize_gnustep_backend. Unable
to find backend libgnustep-xdps.bundle

configuration :

gcc (GCC) 3.2 20020903 (Red Hat Linux 8.0 3.2-7)

When I try to compile gnustep-xdps I get error messages as wel :

gnustep-xdps-0.7.5]# make

.....

SharedX/XGContextEvent.m: In function `-[NSDPSContext(X11Ops)
DPSDiscardEventsMatchingMask:beforeEvent:]':

SharedX/XGContextEvent.m:1767: warning: `NSGraphicsContext' does not respond
to `DPSDiscardEventsMatchingMask:beforeEvent:'

make[2]: ***
[shared_obj/ix86/linux-gnu/gnu-gnu-gnu/SharedX/XGContextEvent.o] Fout 1

make[1]: *** [libgnustep-xdps.all.bundle.variables] Fout 2

make[1]: Weggaan uit map `/usr/src/gnustep/gnustep-xdps-0.7.5/Source'

make: *** [internal-all] Fout 2

Does anybody have any suggestions how to solve these problems ?

Thanks,

    Peter Postmus
