The laternative is to NFS mount a large drive from somewhere else. There
seems to be nolimit to this. I just have a 2 gig partition for the OS and
then cross-mount some 36 gig partitions for data, applications & user
directories.

yes, theres a 2giglimit - and dont let anyone tell you that 4 gig works, it just
seems toi work, but you risk data corruption.
